Web Design

Experience Counts for Everything

Traditional print design companies struggle to design for the web. When working in any medium, whether it's oil paint, clay, canvas or printmaking ... experience counts for everything.

With over 10 years of experience in web design and a proven track record in producing creative, standards compliant websites, we know how to design for the web. We know how to structure page layout, sizing and colour suitability while adhearing to browser constraints. We know how to make effective user interfaces that are engaging while being both familiar and intuitive to use.

Ever wondered why your competitors come up before you do on Google, Yahoo or any of the other major search engines? More often than not there’s a few simple steps you can take to make your website more appealing to search engines. Contact us to find out how we can build you a more effective and successful web presence.

Billy Browns Backpackers

Billy Browns is a great backpacker’s accommodation down the Otago Harbour just past Port Chalmers in Dunedin.

For their great location they needed a great website that showcased the magnificent local scenery and informed of the amenities on hand. This site has a great look with some novel and fun content like the home page slide show. All aspects of the site can be self managed through the Farcry Content Management System.

Si Fang Expeditions

The brief was to design and build a website that reeked of luxury, exclusivity and exoticness - all cornerstones in the concept of Si Fang. With a mission to tailoring luxury private itineraries to exclusive clientele on expeditions off the beaten track around the world, Si Fang expected the very best in presentation.

Still evolving, this website showcases the internationally-recognised photograhy of Denis Pagé and is designed to entice the viewer into booking a private expedition from New Zealand to an Asia unknown.

ICAN Modelling Agency

Translating a massive website and database from the 90's to a new, fresh and contemporary beast was no mean feat. ICAN hosts a large portfolio of talent photography and profiles, all of which had to fit within the parameters of the new site's design.

Featuring a strong black and white look and feel the site is striking and easy to navigate.

Otago Community Trust

Webolution won the contract to totally redesign the rapidly ageing website for the Community Trust of Otago. Hosting a huge database of donation and grant records stretching back to the 1990's new systems had to be developed to streamline the accessibility of data for users as well as ensuring in-house management and updating of content was simple and efficient.

The new site design needed to reflect the rebranding that was being developed in parallel to the website. The site has won praise from both the Trust's board and community user groups.
